| Frontier Mission Values -- "YWAM Church Planting Coaches is a service of YWAM Frontier Missions. As an integral part of YWAM International, we fully affirm our larger mission's values. We also affirm the following list of FM values which address and guide our contributions within the wider YWAM movement." |
1. We commit to "closure" in world evangelization in this generation, focused on unreached peoples. We will work toward this end by focusing global Christian resources on these peoples.
2. We recognize the value and validity of every culture because culture
itself has been ordained by God and proceeds out of the creative nature of
men and women, themselves created in the image of God.
3. While recognizing the presence of both good and evil in every culture,
we value culture as a vehicle through which God has chosen to reveal Himself
to men and women.
4. We value God's desire to reveal Himself within every culture so that men
and women may respond to Him within their particular context and thereafter
take responsibility for the transformation of their culture.
5. We value God's desire to build His Church within every culture,
resulting in great diversity of expression and recognize that the Body of
Christ is incomplete without participation of people from every culture.
6. We recognize the strategic importance of mission emerging from within
every culture in order to complete the task of world evangelization.
7. We as YWAM Frontier Missions affirm our inter-dependent partnership with
all of YWAM International and all of its diverse ministries, this in order
to accomplish the task of evangelizing and discipling all peoples.
8. The task of evangelizing and discipling the unreached peoples requires
that we foster interdependent partnering relationships with the
International Body of Christ characterized by cooperation, vulnerability,
and accountability.
9. The Church is a community committed to obey the commands of Christ. We
accept the responsibility for planting self-reproducing, self-supporting,
and self-governing culturally relevant missionary sending churches among
unreached peoples.
10. We affirm the need for these churches to emphasize the Word of God and
the working of the Holy Spirit toward self-edification and the manifestation
of the priesthood and ministry of every believer.
11. We commit to love and serve people both in word and deed. Accordingly
we will by God's grace proclaim the good news and perform acts of mercy in
order to express the love of God.
12. Candidates and members have unique value, gifting, and callings.
Therefore we are committed to provide appropriate, on-going,
Biblically-based, cross-cultural training to equip them for effective
ministry.
13. Member care is our Biblical responsibility and a vital means to enhance
the resiliency and effectiveness of our Frontier Missions workers. While
recognizing our ultimate dependence on God and call to a sacrificial
lifestyle, we also acknowledge the need for member care structures and
services which will encourage personal growth for all personnel.
